Local safety guidance
Keep clear of buildings, trees, cars, wires and dry grass. Designate one responsible person to light the fireworks and follow the package directions. Keep spectators away from the firing area and have water available.
Use a stable firing base and direct fireworks away from people. Never hold a lit firework or relight a dud. Sparkler wires remain hot after burning and should be soaked in water. Children need adult supervision.
A consumer-use permit is not a sales licence. Mobile fireworks sales have their own licensing process.
